Data Processing & Sub-processors
If your organisation uses MilesPlus, MilesPlus processes your organisation's data on your behalf to provide the service — in data-protection terms, your organisation is generally the "controller" of the personal data it enters (your team members', drivers', and customers' information) and MilesPlus is the "processor." This page lists who else MilesPlus shares data with in order to run the service, and what for. It only lists services actually integrated into the application.
1. Sub-processors
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) | Delivery of transactional email — account verification, password resets, team/driver/support invitations, onboarding guidance. | Recipient name and email address; email open/click tracking, where enabled. |
| Amazon Web Services (S3) | File storage for uploaded content such as organisation logos and user avatars, where the environment is configured to use it — MilesPlus's default configuration stores these files on the application server itself rather than S3, and which one is active in production has not been confirmed for this document. | Uploaded image files. |
| Hostinger | Application hosting, based on the project's deployment configuration. The specific data-center region has not been confirmed for this document. | All application data, as the underlying infrastructure the app and its database run on. |
MilesPlus does not currently integrate a live third-party payment processor, advertising network, or analytics platform — see the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. International data transfers
Whether using these providers involves transferring data across international borders — and what safeguards apply if so — depends on where your organisation and its data are located and where each provider processes data, and has not been confirmed for this document. This should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel if it matters for your organisation's compliance obligations.
3. Changes to sub-processors
If MilesPlus adds or replaces a sub-processor that changes what's listed above, this page will be updated. Whether affected customers are notified in advance of a sub-processor change, and how, has not yet been defined as a process.
4. Your organisation's own processing obligations
MilesPlus processes data according to your organisation's instructions, given through how you configure and use the application (for example, which team members you invite, and what data you enter about your drivers and vehicles). Your organisation remains responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and enter that data into MilesPlus, and for its own relationship with the individuals whose data it enters (its drivers, employees, and customers).
